Seldom does a client come by who truly edits my color ways in such a magnificent way as Lori, from The Stationery Position.

Quoting from her website, The Stationery Position is "a celebration of all things unique. Specializing in personalized note cards, announcements and invitations for all occasions, the stationery position is a surprising blend of modern sophistication and whimsical fun…" and I couldn’t agree more! Lori, herself, seems to be a unique individual who loves "fonts, tea and 3-legged cats"(yes, she adopted two of those!).

So why am I talking about her and her company? Well, if a designer as talented as she is, decides to base

huge chunks of her business on my work, I guess it entitles me to some pride, doesn’t it? The company offers fully customizable (no small feat!) stationery for personal, baby, kids and occasion notes. In the categories of her store where LittleLion Studio is present, it actually represents, on average, 84% of all the offerings (yes, I did the math… I am that nerdy…). What can I say to that but… wow!!!

Not without reason, Lori’s work ended up being featured in widely known websites about design, such as FFFFound and oh joy! for its distinct quality, clarity and elegance.

There is one thing though, which I read on The Stationery Position’s website that really stood out to me and I believe it to be the true link bonding our work: "Lori gets inspired by [...] anything that has usability, simplicity and emotion." Well said, Lori, well said.

Notwithstanding its irrelevance to this post, seeing Lori’s application of my docile whale prompted me to add this image… Brace yourselves, people, for one day you will eventually find some of my creations in the most unlikely places… ;-) [click image to enlarge].

elcome to LittleLion Studio’s blog, or should I say welcome to my blog? Either way, you are very much welcome! Truth is it is a blurred line between myself, Leo, and LittleLion Studio at least for the time being. With that said, let me give you a quick tour so that you’re right at home in no time.

First off, the time you spend here is supposed to be a pleasant one so feel free to explore at your own pace and to contact me at any time with suggestions, constructive criticism or rants, the door is always open. Above all though, share your thoughts with us through the comments section. Whenever you ask yourself "should comment on this?", the answer is a sounding "yes, you should!!".

Back to our tour, I initially divided this blog into seven categories which might expand or shrink, we’ll see… In the "All Business" category you will find posts about, well, the business side of things or what it takes to make a living out of graphics content creation. In the "Inspired by" section, I try to bring to you some of the steps involved into turning a blank canvas (sometimes an inquisitive, daring monster, trust me!) into a vector art that someone, somewhere, will think of as the perfect fit for their project. "Featured in" is a bit of showboating on my part (apologies in advance), where I will mention all walks of projects in which LittleLion took part in. As a matter of fact, you might just stumble upon some of my work applied into some product which I probably never heard of, that’s the beauty of microstock (more on this later), so please, make sure to drop me a line whenever that happens.

Blogs are supposed to be informal, so here I decided to create a new paragraph… Anyway, there is the "Out of the Oven" category featuring recently released work and "Jump Starting", which I really hope will bring you back here regularly as I try to give you tips on starting
your own creative projects.

‘But wait, there’s more!’ oh boy… from here you can head to microstock sites where my work is available for purchase (soon enough I will start selling it here as well, I’ll keep you posted) or contact me directly with enquiries for commissioned projects. Oh… and there is a "Newsletter" on your way, so go ahead and subscribe to it right now! Lastly, if you’re Press or want to mention LittleLion Studio, this blog or myself in your own blog, magazine or newspaper, check the "Info" section, there you will find everything you need.

Well, I guess this is it! As I said on my "Greetings Message", I am so happy you came! Keep coming back and I’ll stay happy! ;-)
